PPA, EXPLAINED
You buy the energy.
We develop the solution.
A power purchase agreement (PPA) is a long-term electricity supply contract between your company and the energy producer. With ITRA GROUP, you buy the electricity: we handle the development, financing and operation of the infrastructure.
No CAPEX investment for the consumer
You do not finance the generation, battery storage or distribution infrastructure included in our offer. ITRA GROUP carries that investment. Your company purchases the electricity delivered under the PPA, keeping its capital available for its own business.
ITRA handles financing and maintenance
ITRA GROUP handles project financing, organises construction, and takes responsibility for operation and maintenance. We oversee equipment monitoring and servicing to maintain the solution’s performance over the long term.
Dedicated distribution and existing supplies
We develop a dedicated distribution network designed to deliver electricity independently of the SNEL network. Engineering defines the connection to your installation and whether existing SNEL supplies or diesel backup can be retained or coordinated, with appropriate protection and switching.
Solar + BESS matched to your operating hours
Solar generation provides energy during the day; a battery energy storage system (BESS) stores part of it for later use. We assess daytime, extended-hour or continuous 24/7 supply against your consumption profile. Generation, battery power, usable storage and distribution are designed together. Availability and autonomy commitments are defined after technical assessment.
A PPA tailored to your operation
The tariff is assessed against your consumption profile and the infrastructure required. The PPA sets its duration, delivery point, metering and billing arrangements, supply hours, agreed availability and each party’s responsibilities. These terms are agreed following technical and commercial assessment.
Protection against energy price fluctuations
The PPA sets the electricity price and any agreed adjustment rules in advance. This long-term visibility protects your business against unpredictable energy market price fluctuations and helps you plan costs throughout the contract term.
The final configuration, BESS autonomy, availability, delivery arrangements, tariff and any performance commitments are determined through technical and commercial assessment and defined in the PPA. The initial conversation is non-binding.
